READING DAY PLEDGE
PM SHRI KV No.1 Chandimandir Cantt is going to celebrate National reading day on 19th June and Reading Month from 19 June -18 July 2025.
National Reading Day was celebrated in the Vidyalaya with a pledge to honor P.N. Panicker's legacy and promote reading. The day, observed on June 19th, is dedicated to the memory of P.N. Panicker, the "father of the library movement" in India.
Students and teachers participated in a reading pledge, committing to cultivate reading habits and recognize its importance.
The celebration often extends beyond a single day, marking the beginning of Reading Month, which continues with more activities to promote reading throughout the month.
The pledge taken by students and staff aimed to foster a love for reading and its benefits, including cognitive development and critical thinking
